There are a few steps involved with fully integrating Prism into a game.
Design analytics.
- Plan out the games analytics / Prism data structure.
- During this process, the Scryptkeeper team should be consulted for best practices.
- Final analytics need to be in a Google worksheet document and need to conform to the DarkMatter Template format
- Once all the games analytics have been entered into an analytics sheet it will need to be published to the web, make sure to save the document key as you’ll need it to import the analytics into the hope dashboard.
Setup game and base Prism data.
- From the Prism section of the dashboard fetch your data for your game data.
- If this is the first time accessing this game through Prism you’ll be asked to setup Prism. For more information relating to initial Prism setup see the Setup section in the Prism documentation.
Setup actions
- From the actions section select your Analytics worksheet as well as the pages you’d like to import.
- Once imported You’ll be able to create and edit the actions.
- For more information on setting up actions see the Action section in the Prism documentation. section of the documentation.
Setup categories
- Once you’ve setup your actions you can start creating Categories to process the action values.
- For more information on setting up categories see the Categories section in the Prism documentation.
Setup Manifest modifiers
- Before setting up any modifications for your game it’s a good idea to plan out how you want
-
It’s recommended that Modifications should make small localized changes to a section of the manifest
- Recommendations …
- For more information on setting up modifiers see the Modifications section in the Prism documentation.
Build usertypes
- A Usertype is what ties together all the other parts of the Prism system.
- To setup a new Usertype click the “Add Usertype” button on the left-hand side of the screen.
- For more information on setting up Usertypes see the Usertypes section in the Prism documentation.
Associate resource groups.
- If it’s possible for a user to be more then one Userypte that modifies the same node in the manifest it’s a good idea to setup resource groups. This will help you control what modifications get applied the user’s version of the manifest.
- In the resource section of the manifest, setup resources for each of your modification groupings that should be mutually exclusive.
- For more information on setting up resource groups see the Resources section in the Prism documentation.
- Once you’ve assigned Resources for any Usertypes that need them you’ve fully setup Prism.
Uploading / Saving
- When you’re ready to save your change click the cloud icon with the up array in the left-hand panel.
- The upload view will be displayed that will ask for a description of your changes to be saved with the version.
- If this isn’t the first time you’ve saved your Prism data you’ll be able to view your changes.
- After selecting on and uploading your changes it will generate a report about any inconsistencies it found in the data as well as what sections were saved.
